Prepare for a heavy night of in your face rock as The Pretty Reckless will be performing live at The Midland theatre this Tuesday 21st July 2026. The New York band, fronted by the enchanting Taylor Momsen, will be bringing their hard rock sound to Kansas City, Missouri.
GRMMY-nominated band The Pretty Reckless leads all female-fronted bands with 8 Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay number 1s. They've officially announced their upcoming fifth studio album Dear God, which will be out June 26 along with new song "When I Wake Up."
The historic Midland theater, with its excellent acoustics and seating capacity of up to 3,000, will be the venue for this groundbreaking event. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with music beginning at 8:00 PM.

Hailing from New York City, The Pretty Reckless is a American rock band formed in 2009, consisting of lead vocals by Taylor Momsen and guitar by Ben Phillips, along with bassist Mark Damon and drummer Jamie Perkins. Songs you will hear them perform live are “Heaven Knows”, “Death by Rock and Roll”, “Make Me Wanna Die”, and “Take Me Down” “Messed Up World (F'd Up World)”, “Back to the River”, “And So It Went”, and “Only Love Can Save Me Now”.
The band holds the record for a female-fronted rock band with eight No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. They are also one of only seven bands to have sent four songs to No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart. Taylor Momsen, the lead singer of the band, was awarded Hottest Female at the Kerrang! Awards in 2014. The band released their holiday EP Wished You Were There and have since earned their eighth No. 1 rock hit.

Located in the Power & Light District in the heart of downtown Kansas City, The Arvin S. Grodner Theater is housed in a beautifully restored historic theater building dating back to the turn-of-the-century. The building features many of the period design elements, in conjunction with modern theatre and production systems, to create a unique and memorable experience for audiences. The venue features a traditional theater-style orchestra level, balcony seating and premium seating areas and can accommodate groups of up to 3,000 people.
